Jody Kahn represents narrative nonfiction, and literary and upmarket fiction—novels that lean toward the literary while still containing a strong commercial hook. In both fiction and nonfiction she is drawn to page-turning, character-driven stories with real emotional pull. The variety of her list spans historical fiction, family saga, and literary crime/suspense, as well as cookbooks, journalism, memoir, and anything related to sports, pop-culture, food, science, or history. 

Jody began her publishing career in 2008 at Brandt & Hochman Literary Agents, Inc. She holds a BS in Human Development with a minor in Studio Art, and is an artist and an athlete who bikes, swims, and practices yoga in her free time. She also loves cooking and entertaining, and some of her happiest moments are spent in the kitchen preparing meals while listening to podcasts. Jody recently moved to Cambridge, MA, where she is working remotely for Brandt & Hochman and enjoying the greater Boston area. Jody also serves as the administrative secretary of the Association of Authors’ Representatives.
